Tax free “Rudramadevi” in T-state

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to exempt the eagerly-awaited upcoming film titled “Rudramadevi” from tax. On Thursday, the director of the drama, Gunasekhar met the Chief Minister and has reportedly requested the government of Telangana for tax exemption for his forthcoming period drama “Rudramadevi”. Gunasekhar also reportedly invited KCR for the special screening of the movie. And it is heard that KCR also responded well with his kind gestures for Gunasekhar’s request.

“Rudramadevi” is an upcoming multi-lingual picture featuring actress Anushka Shetty in a title role. The film also stars Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Catherine Tresa and others in major roles. The story is all about the 13th century warrior queen of Kakatiya dynasty, Rudramadevi.

The much-talked-about movie is scheduled to hit silver screens on October 9, 2015 in both Telugu and Hindi languages. The Tamil version is slated for a release on October 16, 2015. The film also marks the first ever 3D historic Indian drama.
