At least 2 people were killed in a plane crash during the shoot of upcoming film “Mena”, starring actor Tom Cruise in a lead role. According to the country’s aviation authority and production banner Universal Pictures, two persons were killed and another one severely injured in the mishap.
The accident occurred on September 11. The incident took place when the team wrapped up their work of the film “Mena”. Jack Snyder, an executive at Helinet Aviation, said that pilot Alan D Purwin was one of the people killed. The mishap took place when the plane was on its way from the city of Medellin.
A statement from Universal Pictures said, “On behalf of the production, our hearts and prayers go out to the crew members and their families at this difficult time.”
