Amaravati : Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy has announced that the housing colonies under construction across Andhra Pradesh will be completed and handed over to beneficiaries by the end of March 2025. The announcement came during his inspection of the Peracherla Housing Colony in Guntur District, where he met with officials and beneficiaries to assess progress and address concerns.
CM Chandrababu’s Orders for Completion
According to Parthasarathy, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has issued strict directives to ensure the timely completion of the housing projects. “The Chief Minister has instructed us to expedite the process and provide houses to the beneficiaries by March 2025. This is a priority for the state government,” the minister stated.
During his visit, Parthasarathy inspected the layout of the Peracherla Housing Colony, where 11,000 houses out of a planned 18,000 are currently under construction. He met with beneficiaries to discuss their issues and assured them that all necessary infrastructure will be in place by the completion date.
Action Against Irregularities
The minister also addressed concerns about irregularities in the construction process. “CM Chandrababu has ordered a thorough investigation into any irregularities in the housing project, and strict action will be taken against those responsible, based on the findings of the report,” Parthasarathy said.
He assured the public that the government is fully committed to supporting the developers and ensuring that the housing project is completed without further delays.
Infrastructure and Support for Beneficiaries
In addition to the construction of houses, Parthasarathy emphasized that the government will provide essential infrastructure such as electricity, roads, and drinking water to all housing colonies. He also promised that houses of poor quality will be rebuilt to meet standards, ensuring that beneficiaries receive homes that are both safe and livable.
Furthermore, the minister clarified that after March 2025, beneficiaries will no longer be eligible for bank loans, urging them to utilize the financial support currently available to secure their homes.
