Pune: AMR Group Chairman and Managing Director A. Mahesh Kumar Reddy was conferred the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV), Pune, during the university’s 44th Convocation Ceremony held on March 14, 2026.
The honorary doctorate was awarded in recognition of Mahesh Kumar Reddy’s exceptional leadership and significant contributions to industry and infrastructure development. Over the years, he has played a key role in driving growth through various infrastructure and industrial initiatives under the AMR Group.
The convocation ceremony took place at the TMV Campus in Mukundnagar, Pune, under the chairmanship of Dr. S. Srikumar, Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth.
Along with Mahesh Kumar Reddy, two other prominent personalities were also honoured with the Honorary D.Litt. during the ceremony. These included Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, and Hemant Oberoi, Chef-Owner of OB Hospitality and former Grand Executive Chef and Corporate Chef.
The convocation was held in the presence of several distinguished members of the university leadership, including Dr. Rohit D. Tilak (President, TMV), Dr. Geetali Tilak (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Pranati R. Tilak (Vice President), along with trustees Sarita Sathe and Nikhil Marathe.
Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, a deemed-to-be university declared under Section 3 of the UGC Act, organizes its annual convocation to honour outstanding individuals who have made remarkable contributions in their respective fields.
The recognition marks a significant milestone for A. Mahesh Kumar Reddy, further highlighting his contributions to industry and his influence as a business leader from Andhra Pradesh.
