AP Assembly Elections – Y S Sharmila Criticises AP CM

Y.S. Sharmila, the sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) criticised N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Sharmila, who is conducting campaigns in support of the YSRCP, on the 1st of April, slammed the Naidu led Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

During a public rally in the Ponnur Assembly constituency of Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, Sharmila said, Naidu and his Government are cheating the farmers and women of the State. She further said, under Naidu’s rule, no one is happy.

Moving further with her criticism, Sharmila highlighted the promises made by Naidu and asked the voters not to fall for his promises. She said, “Again now Chandrababu is telling lies that he’ll make Amaravati as America and Srikakulam as Hyderabad (sic.)”

Sharmila appealed to the citizens of Ponnur to vote for Jagan Mohan Reddy and the candidates of the YSRCP, in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Y.S. Sharmila kick started her campaign for the YSRCP from the 29th of March and held several roadshows, covering approximately 50 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.

On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP President, is also conducting campaigns for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively, scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
