Bomb attacks shook Kabul, 35 killed and several wounded

Kabul: As many as 35 people were killed and several others were wounded in bomb blasts on Friday in Kabul, Afghanistan. The explosions shook the city and sent shivers among the survivors. Taliban claimed the responsibility for one attack at the police academy.

Nearly 20 were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself near the police academy. After few minutes, another blast took place north of the airport. Another 15 were killed in the early hours of Friday, when a truck carrying explosives was detonated near an army base in the Shah Shahid area.

According to reports, the suicide bomber detonated the bomb he was dressed in police uniform at the police academy. He managed to place himself in a queue as the trainees of police were waiting to enter the academy. All the victims were students of military. Police investigation is underway and further details are still awaited.
