Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the caste based census will be taken up very soon in the state. He said that the Congress government is committed to fulfill each and every promise made before 2023 elections and is progressing towards making them reality.
Revanth Reddy asked authorities to introduce a resolution on caste based census at the next assembly budget session. He endorsed the responsibility of doing caste based census to the welfare department.
Revanth on Saturday held a review meeting on budget allocations to BC, SC, ST and minorities department along with his cabinet colleagues Seethakka, Uttamkumar Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar and directed authorities to make estimates for establishing academic hubs where SC, BC and minority hostels and education institutions will be established at a particular hub. He said that every assembly constituency will soon have a hub.
