Palanadu: Tension prevailed at Thondapi of Narasaraopet district after miscreants pelted stones on former minister and TDP constituency incharge Kanna Lakshmi Narayana. Intense atmosphere loomed after attacks and police failed to control the stone pelting.

Kanna Lakshmi Narayana is scheduled to hoist the TDP flag and attend the joining of a few local leaders at Thondapi village. Locals arranged a huge meeting and mobilized the crowd. Khanna arrived at the village and was about to reach the venue.

Meanwhile, miscreants stalled the power and started pelting stones. Police who came for Bandobast failed to identify and detain the miscreants. Kanna’s personal assistant Swamy is severely injured in the incident and is getting treatment.

Telugu Desam national president N Chandrababu Naidu condemned the attacks and termed them as YSRCP provoked attacks. Naidu asked the local leaders to reach the spot and assist Kanna.  He demanded the police to arrest the offenders immediately. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan also condemned the attack on Kanna.
