Caught at the Border: Chinese Woman Arrested Trying to Enter India Without Visa

Around 1 p.m., the woman was spotted walking into Indian territory via a footpath at Bairia Bazaar in the Nautanwa area, which borders Nepal. Routine surveillance by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel led to her interception. During the check, officials discovered she did not possess a valid visa or passport, essential for legal entry into India.

After detaining her, security personnel handed the woman over to the local police for further investigation and legal action. According to authorities, documents found in her possession helped identify her as Huajia Jie, a Chinese national. However, officials are still trying to verify her exact place of origin and the reason behind her attempted entry into India.

Police sources said the language barrier is currently limiting the information they can gather from her. Investigators are working to establish whether this was an isolated case of unlawful crossing or part of a larger plan. They are also examining other aspects, such as travel history, possible contacts, and motive.

This arrest underscores the vigilance maintained along the Indo-Nepal border, which permits open movement for Indian and Nepalese citizens but strictly controls entry for others. Security forces continue to emphasize the importance of valid travel documentation and cooperation between border agencies to prevent similar incidents.
