Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the need to develop the Eco Park area at Mangalagiri AIIMS as a major tourist attraction. He participated in the Vanamahotsava event alongside Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar. During the event, Chandrababu planted neem and ravi saplings and urged everyone to plant at least two saplings annually, stressing the importance of increasing greenery in the state to 50 percent.

Chandrababu highlighted the environmental challenges faced by the state, including the destruction of rivers, ponds, and hills during the YSRCP regime. He criticized the previous government’s actions and vowed to initiate a widespread plantation movement. “We will plant saplings in barren areas and start seed ball plantations,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to environmental protection.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan echoed these sentiments, stressing the social responsibility of increasing green cover. He announced plans to plant one crore saplings, aiming to boost the state’s greenery from 29 percent to 50 percent. “Plants are essential for future generations. Protecting the forest environment is crucial for our survival,” Pawan Kalyan stated.
