The Delhi University (DU) released its first cut off list for undergraduate (UG) courses on the night of the 27th of June.  This move came a day earlier than the scheduled date, which can be attributed to the University trying to give more time to the students to complete the admission process.

The merit list included the cut off set by many top DU affiliated colleges, including Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, Dyal Singh College and Daulat Ram College.

The highest cut off score for the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.,) English (Honours) course was set at 97.75 % by the Hindu College.  The B.A. English course received the highest number of applications this year.

B.A., Political Science (Honours,) which received the second highest number of applications, had the highest cut off score compared to any other course, at 99 %.  This was pegged by the Hindu College.

As far as the B.A., Economics (Honours) course is concerned, the Shri Ram College of Commerce set the highest cut off, at 98.75 %, a 0.25 % increase from 2018.  This College also increased the cut off for its renowned Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) course to 98.50 %, a 0.75 % rise from 2018.

Some of the highest cut offs are those set by Dyal Singh College and Daulat Ram College.  Dyal Singh College finalised its first cut off for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.,) Computer Science course at 98.33 %.  Daulat Ram College decided 97.6 % for its B.Sc. Physics (Honours) programme.

The admissions based on the first merit list will be held between the 28th of June and the 1st of July.

This year, the DU is also providing 10 % reservation to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS,) based on the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2019.
