Earthquake jolts San Francisco Bay Area

An earthquake measuring 4.0 on Richter scale has rocked the San Francisco Bay Area on Tuesday. However, no reports of injuries or damage were registered.

The earthquake jolted the San Francisco Bay area at 2.41 am PT. The quake was centered 2 miles northeast of Fremont, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Regarding the quake, the city received no calls and the people were woken up from the shaking. The sudden quake rattled the area and sent shivers among the residents.

One person was killed and other 200 were injured when a 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit South Napa, centered less than 70 miles from Fremont in the powerful quake less than a year. Property worth $400 million was also damaged in the quake.
