Four killed after earthquake shooks Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal: As many as four were killed after a massive earthquake hit Nepal on Tuesday. The earthquake with magnitude 7.1 killed four in Chautara and also destroyed many buildings. It is heard that several buildings collapsed in the Chautara, which is capital of Sindhupalchowk district. The epicentre of today’s quake was between Kathmandu and Mount Everest.

Tremors were also felt in North India including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand. One person in Uttar Pradesh and two in Bihar were killed in today’s earthquake. Aftershocks also jolted New Delhi, creating more panic among the people.

In a recent quake, the Sindhupalchowk district suffered the major death toll. More than 8,000 people were killed and many others injured when a powerful earthquake hit Nepal on April 25.
