
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has forecasted heavy to very heavy rains across Telangana for the next five days. The affected districts include Kumarambhim Asifabad, Manchiryala, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem, which are expected to experience the most intense rainfall today.
Additionally, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, and Vanaparthi districts.
The Meteorological Center noted that the low-pressure area concentrated in the Vidarbha region around south Chhattisgarh has weakened today. The monsoon trough extends from Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna, Kalingapatnam, and the east-central Bay of Bengal, at an altitude of 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Furthermore, another low-pressure area is likely to form in the west-central region surrounding the northwest Bay of Bengal on the 19th of this month, which may further impact weather conditions in Telangana.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather alerts as the state braces for significant rainfall.
