On Friday, the Panchkula police submitted original ownership documents of the properties from Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa to the local court. The documents included bank account details like debit and credit cards that belonged to the sect head Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

The police reported the documents were recovered during the nine day long remand of Honeypreet Insan.

During her remand, the police took Honeypreet to all the places at which she stayed while in hiding. The police informed the court that they recovered a huge suitcase from Sri Gursar Modia where she was hiding.

The police said, “She packed all these stuff in haste when she left the Dera on August 27 night, two days after (the) Panchkula violence. That suitcase contained dozen of sale deeds of Dera properties, details of Dera’s bank accounts, her educational certificates and debit and credit cards the Dera chief and she used.”

The police said that the information recovered was important to confirm her role as the main conspirator in the 25th August violence.

The police also have in their possession Honeypreet’s laptop and her mobile phone. The laptop was recovered while searching the Dera premises while the mobile phone was handed over by Dera chairperson Vipassana Insan.

The data on the iPhone has been deleted according to the police reports.

An official said, “Honeypreet has feigned ignorance about this. The matter is being investigated. We will be sending her phone for data recovery to the government run CFSL laboratory.”

The official further added, “Her laptop had revenue details about the Dera which is being verified at government level.”

The police reported to the court that “Baba’s Baby” has been charged under Sector 120B (criminal conspiracy,) 121 (waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against government) and 121A (conspiracy to commit offenses.)

Panchkula Police Commissioner A.S. Chawla confidently stated that the evidence collected is enough to nail Honeypreet as the main accused for the violence on 25th August. The violence resulted in the death of 38 people and injured around 200 people.
