In yet another encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, two militants were killed on Wednesday in Bandipora.
Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia reported, “Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Hajin area of Bandipora district.”
On Wednesday, security forces received intel of the presence of militants in Pribal village in Hajin area. The area was immediately surrounded by the security forces.
Sources revealed, “As the security forces came close to the house where the militants were hiding, they were fired at by the hiding militants triggering an encounter in which two militants were killed.”
Other sources have stated, two of the soldiers were critically injured but the news is yet to be confirmed by the defense ministry.
