Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 5th of July, took to Twitter and expressed her happiness about Telangana ranking 1st in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP.)

As per the Socio Economic Survey which was released on the 4th of July, Telangana registered a total of 14.9 % growth in the GSDP, which is the highest among all the states in India. The survey, which was released by the Union Government, disclosed the growth of Telangana.
When United Andhra Pradesh existed, the growth rate of the GSDP was 11 %. After the bifurcation, the State of Telangana had a growth rate of 14 %. Since then, it is increasing every year and maintaining a pace of 14 %. Compared to last year, this year’s growth rate is 0.6 % higher, as in 2017-2018, the GSDP was 14.3 %.
The National Domestic Product (NDP) growth was registered at 11 %.
Apart from Telangana, the other states with a high GSDP growth rate are Karnataka (13.9 %,) Delhi (13.2 %,) Chandigarh (13.2 %,) Tamil Nadu (12.6 %,) Rajasthan (12.4 %) and Uttar Pradesh (12.3 %.)
