As of 3:30 P.M., on the 7th of February, Karti Chidambaram, the son of P. Chidambaram, is being interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED.)
Karti appeared in front of the ED officials around 11:00 A.M., on the 7th of February, in Jamnagar, Delhi. He was probed in connection with the INX Media money laundering case (2007.)
The ED officials called him to record his statement regarding the case, which was registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA.) It is expected, P. Chidambaram, the former Finance Minister of India, will be summoned before the ED, on the 8th of February, for the same.
The INX Media money laundering case revolves around the irregularities in the allocation of finance by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in 2007. P. Chidambaram, the then Finance Minister, allegedly granted Rs. 305 crores to INX Media.

The ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigated the case and alleged, P. Chidambaram along with his son, Karti Chidambaram, took a bribe of Rs. 10 lakhs for the same.
The ED registered the case in 2017, based on the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI.)
Recently, on the 19th of December 2018, P. Chidambaram was interrogated by the ED for the same case. (Back link)
