
Amaravati, June 15: The Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, Mr. Nara Lokesh, announced on Saturday that a new investor-friendly IT policy will soon be implemented in the state. During a review meeting with senior IT and Electronics officers, Mr. Lokesh discussed potential incentives for attracting IT and electronics companies to establish their operations in the state. He urged officials to quickly provide details on existing incentives and any outstanding dues to current units to expedite the policy’s adoption.
Mr. Lokesh emphasized transforming Visakhapatnam into a leading IT hub and developing Tirupati as a major electronics hub. He directed officials to create comprehensive plans for these initiatives and actively invite major IT and electronics companies to set up units in the state.
Key attendees at the meeting included Mr. Kona Sasidhar, Secretary of IT and Electronics; Mr. B Sundar, Special Secretary; Mr. M Ramana Reddy, Managing Director of AP Technological Services; Mr. T Anil Kumar, CEO of AP Innovation Society; and Mr. Cherukuvada Sriram, Director of RTGS.
With these strategic moves, Andhra Pradesh aims to boost its IT and electronics sectors, fostering economic growth and job creation in the region.
