Massive Fire Broke Out At India's Largest Ammunition Deport

Maharshtra: As many as 17 army personnel killed when massive fire broke out at Central Ammunation Deport(CAD) in Pulgaon near Wardha. CAD of Pulgaon is the India’s biggest ammunition depot. Pulgaon is around 110 kms from Nagpur.
According to the officials, two officers and 15 Defence Security Corps jawans feared dead. The fire mishap also injured 19 other DSC jawans.

The cause behind the fire is unknown, but its said that the fire broke out after an explosion at the depot in the early hours between 1:30-2:00 am on Tuesday.

Other reports suggest that explosions occurred after a shed at the ammunition dump caught fire. The fire was brought under control and nearby villages have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
