Amaravati: Former minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) lashed out at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of failing to deliver on his promises and mismanaging the state budget. Nani criticized Naidu’s decision to consider a Vote on Account budget rather than a full budget, highlighting his inability to manage state finances effectively.
Speaking at the YSRCP central office on Tuesday, Nani pointed out that when YSRCP came to power, the state treasury had only Rs 100 crore. In contrast, former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy presented a full state budget, detailing debts, payments due, and revenue sources. He added that the TDP coalition government, which took over with Rs 5,000-6,000 crore in the treasury, is avoiding a full budget to escape accountability for the ‘Super Six’ schemes and debt disclosures.
Nani also slammed Naidu for releasing white papers on various projects without providing clear answers about their completion. He accused the TDP government of engaging in vendetta politics against Jaganmohan Reddy instead of focusing on governance.
