Movies are inspired by real life and sometimes movies can inspire the real world.

In an attempt to save her brother in law, national level shooter Ayisha Falaq shot two men. The 33 year old woman always carries her .32 bore pistol wherever she goes and for the first time, she used it for a rescue mission.

21 year old Asif, brother in law of Ayisha, is a Delhi University student and a cab driver. On Thursday, Asif went to Daryaganj area in Delhi to pick up two passengers. Once, Asif picked them up he was to take them to Shastri Nagar. But when the cab arrived at their destination, the two men overpowered Asif and abducted him to a village called Bhopra, near the Haryana border.

The two accused realized that Asif had only Rs. 150 on him. So, they beat him up and called his family and asked them for a ransom on Rs. 25,000 to be dropped at Shastri Park.

Ayisha and her husband Falaq Sher Alam informed the police and decided to go to the spot themselves. The two men suspected the police would be called and left Shashtri Park. But Ayisha and her husband decided to follow them and the police tailed behind.

The couple reached a lonely park at Bhajanpura, as soon as Asif noticed his brother and sister in law he loosened himself from the abductor’s grip and started to run towards them.

Ayisha was worried the abductors would do something to his brother in law and had the presence of mind to remove her gun and shot the men before they could react. She shot one in the leg and the other in his waist.

The police reached the spot by then and arrested the abductors, who were trying to escape.
