Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy has stated that the Outer Ring Road (ORR) lease issue is being thoroughly investigated. Speaking to the media on Sunday, the minister alleged that former minister Harish Rao had requested a Special Investigation Team (SIT) be formed on the ORR toll lease to implicate his uncle, Bammardi.
Minister Venkatreddy explained that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy constituted the SIT based on Harish Rao’s request in the Assembly. He further remarked that irregularities uncovered in the Formula-E car racing event are indicative of the need for transparency and accountability in other areas, including the ORR toll operations.
Highlighting his contributions to the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, Venkatreddy said, “I worked tirelessly in Delhi for the RRR project. Thanks to our efforts, the project, which had stalled in 2017, has now moved forward. I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving the RRR and to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for his cooperation.”
The minister assured the public that irregularities in the ORR tolls would be exposed, reaffirming the government’s commitment to accountability and good governance.
