Jammu: The troops of Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu region on Thursday. The Indian army retaliated to the firing. The Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing along the LoC.
Jammu based defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said that the troops resorted to unprovoked firing across the LoC in Sawjian sector of Poonch district at around 9.15 am. He added that the firing took place for 5-10 minutes.
He also said that prompting the Indian army to retaliate, Pakistan has been firingly with small automatic weapons since the morning and Indian army responded with equal force using equal caliber weapons.
