Guntur (Pattabhipuram): Leaders of 25 teachers’ unions, employers’ associations, and private educational institutions pledged their support for TDP candidates in the upcoming MLC elections for graduates. The announcement came during a meeting held on Wednesday at a function hall on JKC College Road, Guntur.
The gathering, chaired by former MLC Dr. A.S. Ramakrishna, strategized on ensuring a victory for Guntur-Krishna Pattabhipuram MLC candidate Alapati Rajendraprasad and Ubhayagodavari district candidate Perabathula Rajasekhar. Leaders unanimously expressed their full backing for the TDP candidates, citing their alignment with the aspirations of educators and employees.
Speaking at the event, Rajendraprasad emphasized the trust placed in Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, saying, “The people delivered a historic verdict in the general elections, and our government is working to fulfill their aspirations.”
Perabathula Rajasekhar criticized the governance of the YSRCP, stating, “The state suffered more during Jagan’s tenure than it did during the state bifurcation.” He assured that the TDP would prioritize clearing dues for teachers and employees.
MLC Ashok Babu and former MLC Ramakrishna called for reforms in the Legislative Council, echoing the sentiment that the council must reflect the public’s will. Leaders from various communities also participated in the meeting.
