Retired High Court Judge Justice M. Satyanarayanamurthy has been appointed as the head of the Commission of Inquiry.

The commission, vested with the powers of a civil court, is authorized to summon individuals for investigation, collect evidence, and review official records. It has been instructed to complete its inquiry within six months and submit a detailed report to the government.

Key Areas of Investigation:

  • Adequacy of arrangements for Vaikuntha Ekadashi darshan token distribution and identification of responsible individuals in case of errors.
  • Circumstances leading to the stampede.
  • Preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in the future.
  • Recommendations on organizational steps to ensure the safety of devotees visiting the Srivari Temple.
