Tearful Confession by JeM Commander Highlights India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ Gains, Says PM Modi

In a strong address delivered on his 75th birthday in Dhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that a recent viral video of a distressed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander speaking at a religious gathering validates the success of Operation Sindoor — India’s recent military action targeting terror infrastructures in Pakistan. The commander, identified as Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, broke down emotionally while revealing that the group’s leadership and operational hubs suffered heavy losses in a May airstrike deep inside Pakistan.

Modi said this confession is “proof” that Indian forces “brought Pakistan to its knees in the blink of an eye.” He added that terrorists from across the border had targeted sanctity — “taking away the sindoor of our sisters and daughters” — but that India responded resolutely. The Prime Minister declared that India will never bow to nuclear threats and affirmed that the nation has the power to strike terror hideouts anytime, anywhere.

The speech also touched upon historical themes. Modi paid tribute to the day India liberated Hyderabad in 1948 under Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, commemorated annually as Hyderabad Liberation Day. He called for renewed focus on women’s health through the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” initiative, promoted local manufacturing with “buy in India” urges, and spoke of honoring India’s heritage of courage rooted in figures like Raja Bhoj.

The PM described “Operation Sindoor,” launched earlier in 2025, as more than a military mission — calling it a symbol of a “new India” that rejects the limits of geography and threat. For many, the broadcasted grief of a JeM commander has become a powerful narrative of India’s resolve to protect its borders and dignity.
