
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a significant meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the latter’s residence in Banjara Hills. Accompanied by IT Minister Sridhara Babu and Chief Secretary Shantikumari, the CM explored potential collaborations to boost the state’s technological and educational initiatives.
The discussions reportedly focused on Telangana’s Skill University, with the government seeking Microsoft as a key partner. Telangana has long been a favorable destination for Microsoft, with the recent agreements creating around 4,000 jobs at the Hyderabad Microsoft Center. Progress on these projects is also believed to have been part of the agenda.
CM Revanth Reddy is said to have briefed Satya Nadella on the state’s ambitious plans for Future City and AI City, emphasizing their potential to position Telangana as a global hub for innovation and artificial intelligence. The state government is keen on establishing a cloud computing center of excellence, for which Microsoft’s expertise and support are being sought.
Additionally, discussions included Microsoft’s role in fostering IT startups in Telangana, further strengthening the state’s reputation as an IT powerhouse. This collaboration is expected to bolster Telangana’s technology-driven growth and skill development initiatives.
