Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to finalize the state’s new tourism policy by February 10, focusing on eco-tourism and temple tourism to attract domestic and international visitors.

During a high-level meeting, the CM emphasized the need for strategic planning to boost tourism, particularly around Sammakka and Saralamma Jatara. He urged the revenue and tourism departments to collaborate in developing the event into a major tourist attraction by integrating nearby temples and destinations into a circuit.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the potential of eco-tourism in Adilabad, Warangal, and Nagarjuna Sagar and suggested exploring Singapore-style eco-tourism models. Additionally, he proposed linking Hussain Sagar’s parks, including Sanjeevaiah Park, NTR Park, and Indira Park, to create a comprehensive tourist circuit in Hyderabad.

The CM directed officials to devise special plans to attract devotees and tourists for the upcoming Godavari and Krishna Pushkaralu. He stressed that the tourism policy must contribute to state revenue growth while promoting Telangana’s cultural and natural heritage.

Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, Tourism Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, and senior officials attended the meeting.
