Uttar Pradesh: At least eight children were killed and several others injured after a school van collided with train at an unmanned railway crossing in Auraiye area in Uttra Pradesh’s Bhadohi district on Monday.
The school van was carrying 19 students up to 10 years of age. It was hit was a speeding Varanasi-Allahabad passenger train at gate number 26 between Katka and Madhosingh railway station, police said.
The injured have been rushed to BHU hospital, police said, adding that the senior administrative and police officials were on the spot to monitor rescue operation.
