Tadepalli: YSRCP Chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking action against current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for making baseless allegations about the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
In his letter, YS Jagan strongly condemned Naidu’s accusations regarding the alleged adulteration of ghee used in the preparation of the sacred Tirumala Laddu prasadam. He criticized Naidu for spreading politically motivated claims, which he said have damaged the sanctity of TTD and hurt the sentiments of millions of devotees.
Jagan emphasized the stringent procurement and quality control procedures at TTD, including e-tendering, NABL-accredited lab tests, and multi-level checks. He pointed out that these processes were in place even during Naidu’s previous term as Chief Minister. He also questioned the timing of Naidu’s allegations, which came two months after the ghee in question was rejected by TTD.
Jagan urged Prime Minister Modi to reprimand Naidu for his actions and restore public trust in TTD. He accused Naidu of using these claims as a diversion from his government’s failures in its first 100 days.
