Kurnool: AMD Imtiaz, a prominent leader of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former IAS officer, has announced his retirement from politics, citing personal reasons.
In a statement, Imtiaz expressed gratitude to the people of Kurnool and explained his decision to step away from active politics. “I entered politics after taking voluntary retirement (VRS) from the IAS, with a desire to serve the underprivileged. I contested as a YSRCP MLA candidate from the Kurnool constituency but did not succeed. After discussions with my family and well-wishers, I have decided to retire from politics. However, my commitment to public service remains unchanged,” he said.
Imtiaz emphasized that his retirement from politics does not mark the end of his efforts to contribute to society. As a socially conscious individual, he plans to engage in writing, charity work, and initiatives to combat environmental pollution. “I will dedicate my time to working with organizations and individuals striving to create a better society,” he added.
Imtiaz concluded by thanking his supporters and pledging to continue serving society in meaningful ways outside of the political sphere.
