Kathmandu (Nepal): As many as 25 people were killed and many others went missing due to landslides in Nepal on Thursday. The heavy downpour in Nepal triggered landslides and also buried houses. The landslides also damaged the highway of Pokhara-Baglung.
According to the officials of Home Ministry, nearly nineteen people were killed in the district of Kaski and five others were killed in the landslide in the village of Bhadaure. In a separate incident in Lumle, fourteen people went missing. Five others have also gone missing in the villages of Muduni and Muna.
The rescue operation is underway with Nepal police personnel and Army. Apart from the man power, the rescue operation also includes a helicopter to help the survivors.
