Paris: Atleast 42 people were killed in a bus crash on Friday. The accident occurred when a bus and a truck collided with each other in Southern France. Nearly five other people were injured in the incident and three others managed to escape the crash. It is heard that the bus was carrying elderly people.
The worst road mishap since 1982, occurred on the D17 highway in Puisseguin, near Bordeaux, in southern France. The President of France, Francois Hollande expressed his condolences to the victims.
In a statement issued, Mr. Hollande said, “It is a great tragedy”. He added that the relatives of the victims could be assured of “the solidarity of the whole nation.”
