Apocalyptic sample: The apocalypse, the current dread of Human Mind. Cashing in on the fear many movies were released in the recent past. The horror of loss of life in the movie brought our primitive fears back. But those are just movies, the reality is much much worse. Georgia is an example of that.
Horrific scenes were seen in Georgia after the ‘Flash Flood’. Heavy rains and wind hit Tbilisi last night, turning a normally small stream that runs through the hilly city into a surging river. The flooding also damaged dozens of houses.
The floods have already killed up to 12 people including three workers who were employed at Tbilisi Zoo. City mayor David Narmania told journalists that eight people were known to have died and 10 others were missing. Damage worth £6.5million worth is estimated to be left by the floods.
Dozens of families remain homeless as their houses were destroyed or damaged in the capital and thousands are without a water or electricity supply.
The wrath of the flood was seen mostly in the capital region of Georgia. The flood swept away the Tblisi zoo in a flash. The lions, bears, wolves and a hippo were among dozens of animals on the loose following heavy flooding. The animals are now roaming the capital streets free.
The capital of Georgia has been placed on lock-down after the floods destroyed the zoo walls and enclosures which allowed the hungry animals to roam freely in the city streets. According to reports, more than 30 of the zoo’s residents broke out during heavy rain and wind. Eight bears and 20 wolves as well as six tigers and six lions escaped the zoo.
Horrific reports are coming down that Six wolves were seen circling the children’s hospital. The wolves were shot down by the armed forces when they tried to enter the hospital.
Apocalyptic sample: Wolves Shot down by Special forces
On the event of animal escape, the Zoo spokeswoman Mzia Sharashidze issued a statement. ‘Search for animals continues, but a large part of the zoo is simply non-existent. It was turned into a hellish whirlpool. Some 20 wolves, eight lions, white tigers, tigers, jackals, jaguars have either been shot dead by special forces or are missing. Only three out of our 17 penguins were saved.’
Helicopters are now circling the city, which is home to around 1.1million people in a bid to track down all of the animals.
This apocalyptic scenario is bringing severe wrath from various Churches. Some church leaders say is a punishment from God for melting down the monastery’s bells. The head of the Georgian Orthodox Church blamed the floods on the ‘sin’ of Communists who he said built the zoo using money raised from destroying churches and melting down their bells.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said, ‘The human losses that we have suffered are very hard to tolerate. I express my condolences to all the people who lost their relatives.’
