Chaudhary Lal Singh, a BJP minister lodged himself deep in the center of a controversy pushing Jammu and Kashmir BJP into corner. The image of Chaudhary Lal touching the collar of a female doctor at a government hospital went viral as soon as it hit the internet.
Going into the details, The BJP leader, who is Minister for Health, had gone to the government hospital in Lakhanpur to check preparedness ahead of the start of Amarnath yatra. While during his visit, he observed a lady doctor, whose collar was improper, so the minister took matters into his own hands and corrected the doctor’s collar.
According to a senior officer who witnessed the scene, “Minister moved to female doctor asked her… Bitya your collar is not proper and corrected it with his hand. There was no protest by the female doctor.”
The officer also added that the other lady doctor watching the Minister correcting the collar of the doctor, corrected herself and placed her collar in proper place, the officer said.
“There was a lot of public. I do not think he inappropriately touched the woman doctor at a government hospital,” he said. The Minister was accompanied by the Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Dr Mandeep Bhandari and SP Kathua Nasir Khan.
