On Thursday, an explosion struck a kindergarten entrance in eastern China. Police reports state that seven were killed and several injured in this blast.
The state media reports say many have been hurt and many children and adults were unconscious on the floor bleeding. The police say the blast went off at 4:50 P.M., at the Chuangxin Kindergarten in the city of Fengxian in Jiangsu province.
The police said it was not yet clear if the blast was accidental or deliberate. Some reports say the explosive appeared to have been from a bottle of cooking gas. The kindergarten and local hospitals have not released any statement about the incident.
Kindergartens have over the time have been points of attack in China. This mostly involved neighborhood enmity. But owing to strict control over firearms, the attacks, in general, is carried out using knives, axes and homemade explosives.
