On Sunday, according to the police, at least two shooters opened fire at a packed nightclub in the Cincinnati area of Ohio. In this shoot out one person died and 15 were gravely injured. The motive behind this firing is yet unclear. The Cincinnati Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate, had tweeted that, ‘there are no indications this incident is terrorism related.’

Hundreds of people were present at the Cameo Nightlife Club at around 1 A.M., when this incident happened. The Police Department had said that the club had had ‘multiple problems’ in the past. Captain Kimberly Williams had said speaking to the media that “At this point, it’s unclear exactly what instigated the shooting. We believe that there were at least a couple of shooters involved. Just a lot of chaos when the shots went off.”

The suspects are on the run and police are unable to trace them due to lack of proper description. The eye witnesses present at the site of the incident have not come forward to cooperate which has hindred the search. Fifteen people injured in the firing had life threatening injuries. Chief Neudigate speaking to NBC news had said, “We are in the middle of a very horrific situation that occurred at the nightclub with multiple victims.” He also added, “It’s going to be a long night for our homicide units to investigate this incident, but right now things are stable.”
The Cameo club is a large single story building located at 7 mile (11 km) drive from downtown Cincinnati. Located near the southeast corner of the city, the heart of the second largest metropolitan area in Ohio with more than 2 million residents, Cameo has regular heavy footfall.
