London: The royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. On Monday, Kensington Palace announced the name of the princess. The Palace said, “The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.”
Charlotte is a tribute to William’s father, the Prince of Wales, as it is the feminine form of the name Charles and princess Diana was one of the most loved one in the British Royal family. On the other hand, Elizabeth is Kate’s middle name.
The new princess was born on Saturday at 8.34am UK time at Lindo wing of St Mary’s hospital in Paddington.The little princess is fourth in line to the British throne, after her grandfather, Charles, her father, William, and her older brother, George.
