Theresa May to become Britain's next prime minister

Conservative Party leader and former home secretary Theresa May is all set to become the first female Prime Minister of Britain as David Cameron will resign today. After failing to convince UK to remain in the European Union in a shocking referendum Cameron had announced in June that he would step down by October.
The conservative Party announced a leadership race to find an MP to fill Cameron’s post. Former London Mayor and the face of Leave campaign Boris Johnson, who was believed to be the next prime minister, decided against running after Lord Chancellor Micheal Gove left the race.

Mr. Cameron is expected to resign form his profile by Wednesday afternoon. May will first meet Queen Elizabeth II before hopping into a bulletproof car that would take her to the new residence. May, who actually supported Britain remaining in the EU, reiterated her commitment to Brexit on Monday. “Brexit means Brexit, and we’re going to make a success of it. There will be no attempts to remain inside the EU. No attempts to rejoin it by the back door. No second referendum. The country voted to leave the European Union, and as prime minister, I will make sure we leave the European Union,” she said.

According to UK Media, the initial duties as prime minister would be to write down four identical handwritten notes, leaving instructions for Britain’s commanders over the use of nuclear weapons in case of an imminent threat.
