Trump prioritises about quitting TPP and Work Visa abuses

In a video released on 20 November, President-elect Donald Trump has said the U.S.A., would quit the Trans-Pacific Partnership or TPP trade deal on the first day. He said that his transition team of hard working men and women, patriots are working smoothly for the transition of the first 100 days, helping to Make America Great Again. Speaking about his agenda Donald Trump said it was very simple and is “Putting America first whether it’s in producing steel, building cars or finding a cure to a disease.” Emphasizing on the need he said that he want’s next generation of innovation to happen in America. In turn creating wealth and jobs for American workers.

Donald Trump whose election campaign was Make America Great Again believes that this agreement is a debacle for the country. In June 2016 he said TPP is “Another disaster done and pushed by special interests who want to rape our country, just a continuing rape of our country.” Mr. Trump’s first day action plan includes withdrawal from Trans Pacific Partnership, as it is a potential disaster and instead focus on  “negotiate fair, bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry back to American shores.” Some of the other actions include canceling restrictions on U.S., energy production, plans to combat cyber-attacks and fewer regulations on business. Also as an initiative to drain the swamp– get rid of career politions, issue a five-year ban on people leaving the government and a lifetime ban on those lobbying on behalf of the foreign governments. Investigate visa program abuse which has increased by many folds over the last few years.

The TPP that is a trade agreement between twelve Pacific Rim countries excluding China which comprises a total of 40% of the world economy. Aiming at reducing trade tariffs, the 30 chapters of the TPP agreement include,

  • Promotion of economic growth,
  • support the creation and retention of jobs,
  • enhance innovation, productivity, and competitiveness and
  • promote transparency in those countries present in TPP.

In the video, he said that his first aim is to make America the priority. There was no official statement about banning Obamacare or building a wall on the Mexican border and also a ban on Muslims that he promised in the campaign in order to make America great again.
