Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is taking key steps to revitalize the Visakha Steel Plant in collaboration with the central government. As part of this initiative, Union Minister of State for Steel Srinivasa Varma and senior officials met with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to discuss financial packages, the progress of operations, and the status of blast furnaces at the steel plant.

During the meeting, CM Chandrababu emphasized the deep emotional connection the people of Andhra Pradesh share with the Visakha Steel Plant. He reiterated the state’s commitment to restoring its former glory and assured full cooperation to the central government in strengthening the plant’s operations.

The Union Minister expressed gratitude to the Andhra Pradesh government for deploying Special Protection Force (SPF) security at the plant. In a crucial suggestion, CM Chandrababu urged officials to focus on reducing maintenance costs to ensure sustainability and profitability.

The renewed focus on Visakha Steel aligns with the state’s broader efforts to boost industrial growth and secure jobs for thousands of workers dependent on the plant’s operations.
