Amaravati:  The AP Secretariat Employees Association (APSA) has decided to write another letter to the government, seeking reconsideration of the recent decision to de-recognize the Secretariat Employees Association. This decision was made following a General Body meeting of APSA, where members discussed the cancellation of the association’s recognition.

The General Administration Department recently issued a show-cause notice regarding the de-recognition of the association. A final decision from the government on this matter is expected within the next two to three days, as the file has already reached the Chief Minister’s office from the Chief Secretary.

APSA representatives are making efforts to ensure the association’s recognition is not revoked. In a recent executive committee (EC) meeting, community leaders deliberated on potential resignations to avoid cancellation. APSA President Venkataramireddy has expressed willingness to step down if a vice-president is ready to take over. Other working group members are also considering resignations as a measure to retain the association’s recognition.
