Vijayawada: Amaravathi witnessed a security stir as Apple, the renowned mobile manufacturing giant, issued a grave warning to TDP’s national general secretary, Mr. Nara Lokesh, regarding potential phone hacking attempts. In an email communication, Apple informed Lokesh about suspicious activities aimed at breaching his phone’s security using unidentified software, urging him to take immediate precautions.

TDP representatives were quick to point fingers at their political rivals, alleging that such cyber intrusions were orchestrated solely by leaders affiliated with the YSRCP. Senior TDP figure and Rajya Sabha member,  Kanakamedala Ravinda Kumar, a seasoned advocate, escalated the matter by filing a formal complaint with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). The complaint detailed the alleged tapping of Lokesh’s iPhone through the notorious Pegasus software by unknown entities.

Highlighting previous warnings received by Lokesh, Kumar criticized the Director General of Police (DGP), Rajendranath Reddy, and Intelligence Chief, Mr. PSR Anjaneyulu, accusing them of collusion with the ruling YSRCP to undermine the electoral chances of NDA alliance partners. Kumar demanded immediate action from the Election Commission of India (ECI), urging for the appointment of impartial officers to ensure the integrity of ongoing elections.
