Guntur: Despite heavy rainfall, the streets of Guntur were packed as crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy during the 13th day of his Memantha Siddham Yatra on Friday.
Navigating through the sea of people, Chief Minister Jagan finally reached Prathipadu to address the eagerly awaiting public, who had patiently endured a delay of over two hours due to the overwhelming turnout stretching 16 km leading to the venue.
Expressing gratitude amidst the challenging weather conditions, Chief Minister Jagan sought assurance from the gathered crowd regarding their commitment to upholding the welfare initiatives initiated by the YSRCP government. He highlighted the government’s achievements in education, healthcare, farmer support, women empowerment, pensions, and village secretariat services.
Taking aim at the opposition, Chief Minister Jagan emphasized the corruption-free implementation of welfare schemes under his administration, contrasting it with past practices. He urged voters to support the YSRCP in the upcoming elections, framing it as a battle between the poor and those associated with corruption.
Highlighting unfulfilled promises of the opposition, Chief Minister Jagan questioned the track record of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, particularly regarding agricultural loan waivers, women’s welfare schemes, and employment initiatives. He urged supporters to spread awareness about the truth and become advocates for his cause in the battle to secure the state’s future.
