Tirumala: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (CJI) Justice DY Chandrachud, along with his family, visited the sacred Tirumala temple on Sunday morning. They were warmly welcomed by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Additional Executive Officers J. Shyamala Rao and Ch. Venkaiah Chaudhary. Upon arrival, Justice Chandrachud and his family first bowed before the Dwajasthambam (flagpole) and then offered prayers at the shrine of Lord Venkateswara.

In Ranganayakula Mandapam, the CJI and his family received blessings from Vedic scholars, followed by offerings of Tirtha Prasadam and a framed picture of Lord Venkateswara by TTD officials. Earlier, they were received with a bouquet at the Sripadmavati Guest House by the TTD EO and other dignitaries. They were also accompanied by AP High Court Judge Justice B. Krishnamohan, CVSO Sridhar, and other TTD officials.

Despite being eligible for a direct protocol visit through the Mahadwara, Justice Chandrachud opted to follow the path of common devotees through the Vaikuntham Queue Complex-1. His party also included a non-Hindu member, who, as per Tirumala’s rules, submitted a declaration before having darshan of the deity.
