
Amaravathi: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed the restructuring of all welfare schemes for Minorities, aiming to align them with current needs and past commitments. During a review meeting on Minorities welfare at the State Secretariat, Naidu instructed officials to formulate a new approach by studying past schemes from the previous TDP regime, promises made during the recent elections, and the existing schemes.
Naidu emphasized that pending projects under the Pradhana Mantri Jana Vikas Yojana, for which Rs 447 crore has been sanctioned, should be expedited. He also ordered the completion of shadikhanas and other structures initiated during the previous TDP regime, and advised officials to cancel and relaunch any incomplete projects after a thorough review.
The Chief Minister urged the completion of the Kadapa Haj House, which is 80% finished, and the Guntur Christian Bhavan, which is 50% complete. Naidu also directed officials to finish the survey of Wakf Board lands within a year.
He reaffirmed his promise to provide monthly honorariums of Rs 10,000 to Imams and Rs 5,000 to Mouzams, and announced a Rs 1 lakh grant for individuals going on the Haj pilgrimage.
