Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the deadline for employee transfers by another 15 days. The Finance Principal Secretary, Piyush Kumar, issued orders stating that the ban on transfers is lifted until September 15, 2024. From September 16, the ban on transfers will be reinstated.

The decision to extend the deadline was made due to the fact that several government departments have yet to finalize the procedures for transfers. Departments such as Stamps and Registrations, Revenue, Roads and Buildings, and Transport are experiencing confusion regarding transfer guidelines, leading to delays. To address these issues and provide sufficient time for the formulation of proper procedures, the government issued the order to extend the deadline.
