Hyderabad: The Telangana government is making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of Saraswati Pushkaralu, scheduled to take place from May 15 to 26 at Kaleshwaram in Bhupalapally district. Ministers Konda Surekha and Sridhar Babu on Tuesday unveiled the official website, mobile app, and event poster as part of the promotional efforts for the sacred event.

The Ministers announced that daily footfall is expected to range from 50,000 to 1,00,000 devotees, with pilgrims arriving not only from Telangana but also from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. To accommodate the influx, a tent city will be set up near the Kaleshwaram temple for the convenience of visiting devotees.

One of the key highlights of this year’s Pushkaralu will be the installation of a 17-feet monolithic stone statue, symbolizing spiritual significance and grandeur. The Ministers said that all departments are coordinating to ensure hassle-free experience for pilgrims, and that arrangements are being made in a way that emphasizes safety, sanitation, and convenience.

The state government has allocated ₹35 crore towards the overall management of the Pushkaralu, including infrastructure upgrades, crowd management, water supply, transportation, and medical services.

Also present at the event were Debt Department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, Endowments Commissioner Sridhar, Bhupalapally Collector Rahul Sharma, and other senior officials who assured that the preparations are in full swing.
