Visakhapatnam: Former Minister Gudivada Amarnath has sharply criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly spreading false propaganda regarding the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremonies of various industries in Sricity. Amarnath urged the Chief Minister to focus on genuine development efforts rather than taking credit for projects initiated during the previous administration.

Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam, Amarnath pointed out that many of the industries CM Naidu is currently inaugurating were set in motion during the tenure of the YSRCP government. He emphasized that agreements for several of these projects were made during the 2023 Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) held in Visakhapatnam, with many companies beginning operations and securing land allocations under the previous administration.

Amarnath further highlighted that during the 2023 GIS, the YSRCP government signed over 386 agreements, and the current inaugurations are a continuation of those efforts. He credited their government for the successful launch of several international manufacturing companies in Sricity, noting their coordination with the central government to resolve visa-related issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amarnath’s remarks underline the ongoing political friction between the YSRCP and the TDP over claims of industrial development in Andhra Pradesh.
